Cora Crawley

Presented by Bal Harbour Shops

The Countess of Grantham Mannequin

Created by Isáchi Flowers & Crafts

Born into a wealthy American family, Cora brings both fortune and warmth to Downton Abbey. As the wife of Lord Grantham, she balances her role as a devoted mother and matriarch with her desire to modernize the estate and support her daughters‘ ambitions. Known for her grace
and diplomacy, Cora often acts as a bridge between tradition and change, fostering unity within the family and among the staff. Cora wore this white and black-embroidered ensemble to the annual Downton Flower Show in 1913. Her wide-brimmed hat and light jacket reflect traditional daytime wear of the era, and the cream colour contrasts to the vibrant red and pink roses that she is there to judge.

Robert Crawley

Presented by Bal Harbour Shops

The Earl of Grantham Mannequin

Created by Isáchi Flowers & Crafts

A devoted custodian of Downton Abbey, Lord Grantham is deeply committed to preserving the estate and its legacy. Though sometimes resistant to change, he is guided by a strong sense of duty and love for his family. Throughout the series, Robert grapples with financial challenges, evolving societal norms, and the complex relationships within his household. His steadfast nature and occasional missteps humanize his portrayal as a traditional yet compassionate leader. In a reprieve from his usual dark suits and dinner jackets, Robert wears this light summer ensemble to the 1913 Downton Village Flower Show, at which his mother, the Dowager Countess, and Bill Molesley – Mr. Molesley’s father – go head to head for The Grantham Cup.

Lady Mary Crawley

Presented by Vhernier

Lady Mary Crawley Mannequin

Created by Flower Therapy

As the eldest daughter of Lord and Lady Grantham, Lady Mary is known for her complex personality and emotional evolution. Initially proud and somewhat aloof, she navigates the challenges of societal expectations and personal loss. After the tragic death of her husband, she redefines her role within the family, grappling with her responsibilities as the heir, and her desire for independence. Throughout the series, Mary faces romantic entanglements, particularly with Matthew Crawley, her first husband, and later Henry Talbot, her second. Her character arc reflects the changing social dynamics of post-Edwardian England and the resilience of women during this era. This dress was the wedding gown she wore to marry Matthew Crawley, her distant cousin and heir to the Downton Abbey estate. Befitting the era of the 1920‘s, there is a strong emphasis on the flower of the season, the Calla Lily. Dried white fern, palm tree fiber, rose petals and lunaria make up the lace bodice, with a delicate veil of skeleton leaves and bouquet of Calla Lillies.

Lady Edith Crawley

© Carnival Films

Presented by Bal Harbour Shops

Lady Edith Crawley Mannequin

As the often-overlooked middle Crawley sister, Lady Edith’s journey is marked by resilience and self-discovery. Often overshadowed by her sisters, she faces heartbreak and societal judgment, particularly as an unwed mother to her daughter, Marigold. Over time, “poor Edith” carves out her own path as a successful journalist and eventually marries Bertie Pelham, unexpectedly becoming a marchioness and, to her family’s surprise, outranking them all. Her character arc is a testament to her perseverance and search for identity in a rapidly changing world. In the show’s fourth series, Edith wears this beaded halter ensemble to the Criterion restaurant in London, emerging from past seasons of reserved and muted fashions. This glamorous ensemble reflects Edith’s transformation into a self-assured, forward-thinking woman, stepping away from Downton’s traditional confines and embracing the freedom and modernity of 1920s London. Galax leaves, hellebores, garden rose and tree fern make up the gorgeous peacock patterning of the dress, while Lady Edith stands among orchids and marigold, an ode to her daughter.

Lady Sybil Crawley

© Carnival Films

Presented by Bal Harbour Shops

Lady Sybil Crawley Mannequin

Created by Over The Decades

As the youngest daughter of Lord and Lady Grantham, Lady Sybil stands out with her spirited personality and progressive values. Rejecting the constraints of her aristocratic upbringing, she becomes an advocate for women‘s rights and social equality. Sybil‘s bold decision to marry Tom Branson, the family chauffeur, challenges societal norms and strains family dynamics. Despite her untimely death, her legacy endures through her daughter, Sybbie, and the impact of her courage and compassion on those around her.
Sybil’s progressive values often come into direct conflict with those of her own family, most iconically when she shows up to dinner in a custom evening ensemble featuring – gasp – trousers! Despite the raised eyebrows of her family members, she stands her ground fashionably in this turquoise blue number, featuring a bejewelled headband that hints at the 1920s fashions to come.

Mrs. Isobel Crawley

© Carnival Films

Isobel Crawley Mannequin

Created by My Divine Decors

As Matthew Crawley’s mother, Isobel brings her progressive ideals and compassionate spirit to Downton. A trained nurse, she dedicates herself to causes that benefit the less fortunate, often clashing with Violet over tradition. Her journey sees her grappling with grief while embracing change, reflecting her unyielding strength and adaptability. As a nurse and wife of a middle-class doctor, Isobel’s style is more practical than her aristocratic in-laws. Her no-frills silhouettes and clean tailoring reflect her get-it-done mentality and progressive attitudes. Mokara orchids, cymbidium orchids, roses and carnations make up her burgundy coat and hat, over a simple preserved ivory flower blouse.

Violet, Countess of Grantham

© Carnival Films

The Dowager Countess of Grantham Mannequin

Created by Blooming Flower Art

The sharp-witted and formidable Dowager Countess is the epitome of aristocratic tradition and charm. With her biting humor and shrewd advice, she navigates family disputes and societal shifts with grace. Despite her initial resistance to change, Violet proves to be a fiercely loyal protector of her loved ones and a surprisingly adaptable figure as the world around her evolves. Her friendship with the contrastingly progressive Isobel Crawley balances her traditionalist and sharp attitude. Befitting her age and traditionalist ways, Violet’s style is planted firmly ten years earlier. Her early 1900s silhouettes and dark tones are in stark contrast to the evolving fashions of the women (and the world) around her.

Mr. Matthew Crawley

© Carnival Films

Matthew Crawley

Created by Formaneta

An unexpected heir to Downton Abbey, Matthew enters the Crawleys’ lives as an outsider with middle-class sensibilities. His romance with Lady Mary becomes a central storyline, with many bumps along the way. A dedicated lawyer and soldier, Matthew’s untimely death leaves a profound impact on the family, but his legacy endures through his son, George, and the love he shared with Mary. During wartime, the evening wear at Downton takes a departure from the classic tailcoat ensemble, and Matthew arrives at a fundraiser event in this scarlet red mess jacket – the dinner uniform of British Army officers. Arriving with his fiancée, Lavinia, he notably attracts the gaze of a dejected Mary, who turned down his proposal two years earlier. Matthew‘s mess uniform is imagined with brilliant scarlet carnations and rose petals, with a crisp white shirt of Aspidistra and boots of black ti leaves. He is surrounded by creamy roses, mums, lisianthus and delphinium.

Anna Bates

© Carnival Films

Anna Bates Mannequin

Created by Say Sukii Flowers

As Lady Mary’s trusted lady’s maid, Anna embodies kindness, discretion, and strength. Her love story with Mr. Bates is fraught with challenges, including his imprisonment, but her unwavering resilience and loyalty define her character. Anna’s quiet determination ensures she remains a pillar of the Downton staff. When we first meet Anna, she is a housemaid, wearing the standard black dress and frilly white apron. Later on, after being promoted to lady’s maid, she switches to more fashionable all black attire. Anna would have stayed informed about the latest fashions to expertly assist in dressing and advising Lady Mary.

Mr. Carson Mannequin

© Carnival Films

Presented by The St. Regis Bal Harbour

Mr. Carson Mannequin

Created by The Event Group Design and Decor

As the steadfast butler of Downton Abbey, Mr. Carson epitomizes loyalty and tradition. Deeply committed to maintaining the dignity of the estate, he often struggles with the changing world. His relationship with Mrs. Hughes reveals a softer, more human side, and his retirement marks the end of an era for the household he served so faithfully. A traditionalist himself, Mr. Carson ensures all his footmen are looking their best, as befitting his role at Downton. He dons the classic white tie uniform with stiff collar and starched shirt for evening service. Carson‘s starched whites are made of lunaria and preserved rose petals, with black tails of ti leaves. He stands in a colourful garden of rose varietals, dotted with cymbiduim orchids, liatris, purple aster, and oriental lilies.

Mrs. Patmore Mannequin

© Carnival Films

Mrs. Patmore Mannequin

Created by Le Stem

The heart of Downton’s kitchen, Mrs. Patmore is a no-nonsense cook with a sharp tongue and a soft heart. She serves as a mentor to Daisy and provides comic relief in her interactions with the staff. Beneath her gruff exterior lies a deep care for those around her, making her an integral part of the household. Like other servants in the household and of the time, Mrs. Patmore’s fashion is practical, modest, and functional, with a cotton cap to keep her hair out of the way and out of the cooking. Mrs Patmore‘s hair of dyed and curled willow is kept up in a cap of preserved rose petal to match her dress. Her apron in dusty miller, fading into mums and hydrangea in a garden of Eryngium (sea holly) and carnations.

Mr. Tom Branson Mannequin

Tom Branson Mannequin

Created by Lush Celebrations

Initially the Crawleys’ chauffeur, Tom Branson’s love for Lady Sybil propels him into the heart of the family. A proud Irishman and fervent socialist, Tom struggles to reconcile his beliefs with his new role as a member of the aristocracy. Over time, he becomes a trusted advisor to Lord Grantham and a devoted father to his daughter, and continues to challenge the family’s traditionalist misgivings. Before marrying into the family, Tom is shown in this green chauffeur uniform, driving the Crawley sisters around town to dress fittings and the occasional political rally.

Lady Rose MacClare Mannequin

Lady Rose MacClare Mannequin

Created by Flowers by Rodolfo

Lady Rose, the Crawleys‘ spirited cousin, embodies the energy and optimism of the younger generation. Her lively personality and open-mindedness often challenge the more conservative values of her family. Rose’s marriage to Atticus Aldridge, a Jewish banker, highlights themes of acceptance and social progress during a period of shifting attitudes in England. Down in London in 1923, Rose wears this look to her coming out ball after being presented to society at Buckingham Palace. An unexpected guest, the Prince of Wales, waltzes with Rose, making her the “darling” of London society.

Mrs. Martha Levinson Mannequin

© Carnival Films

Martha Levinson Mannequin

Created by KateAsFlowers

Cora’s mother, Martha Levinson, is a brash and outspoken American who brings a distinctly modern outlook to Downton. Her sharp observations and disregard for tradition frequently clash with Violet’s aristocratic sensibilities, providing moments of humor and tension. Martha’s character underscores the cultural differences between old-world England and new-world America. True to her bold, nouveau-riche nature, Martha embraces the roaring twenties with luxurious furs, flapper silhouettes and chic hairstyles, such as when she arrives at Downton in the third series in this gorgeous floral printed coat and embroidered art deco hat. Preserved rose and hydrangea form Martha‘s coat and furs, with plumosa feathers. Vanda Chocolate roses, burgundy mums and carnations add depth to this stunning 1920s ensemble.

Lady Rosamund Painswick Mannequin

© Carnival Films

Lady Rosamund Painswick Mannequin

Created by Blake Roses

As Robert Crawley’s sister, Lady Rosamund provides both support and sharp critique to her family. Residing in London, she offers a perspective shaped by urban sophistication and independence. Though often perceived as reserved, Rosamund reveals her loyalty and compassion in moments of crisis, particularly when aiding Edith in her struggles. As a wealthy Londoner, Lady Rosamund’s style is always up to date with current fashions, reflecting the evolving world in strikingly modern ensembles. Statice, sea holly, dendrobium orchid, carnations and mums make up her modern 1920s frock, surrounded by a garden of delphinium, aster, hydrangea and ivy.
