Pietro Simone is a skincare whisperer. With his singular approach that marries science, nature, and lessons learned from his nonna, Simone has captured the attention of market leaders (Gwyneth Paltrow is a fan) with his eponymous line of prestige products and innovative practices. “Anti-aging, as far as I’m concerned, is impossible,” says the 40-year-old Northern Italian in his deadpan manner. “What I like to do—using technology, developing all these serums, creams, facials, and employing different modalities—is really manage and delay the aging process.” And the best is yet to come…

Soon, after years in development, Simone will introduce his most advanced product line yet, Regenesis. “Regenesis Infusion is made from exosomes that are derived from umbilical-cord gel,” says Simone. “Exosomes are carriers and messengers, which means they’re going to immediately enhance the messaging between your cells. Progressively, you’ll see your skin get thicker, stronger, and resilient—which also means less wrinkles, less fine lines, less inflammation.” And the 50 ml tube containing 100 billion living exosomes comes with a price tag of $4,800—making it the most expensive skincare product on the market.

The peripatetic Simone, who has clinics in New York, London, and East Hampton, and has developed treatments for a handful of luxury spas across the US, including Meadowood in Napa Valley, and the Four Seasons in Fort Lauderdale and Nashville, has lots to offer besides an enviable skincare regime. So, we asked him to share a bit about this personal style and his carry-on only travel hacks.

How does your style change when you’re working in London, New York, and the Hamptons?
I’ve got that Italian Passione for fashion—it’s in my DNA! I just tweak things depending on the weather or how I’m feeling that day. I love mixing different brands, playing with textures, and making it all my own. Fashion should be an expression, not a rulebook!

What’s your packing approach and go-to carry-on?
I’ve learned to travel lighter over the years. I plan out my outfits in advance, making sure everything is perfectly matched, plus I throw in two extra looks just in case. I love being organized, ready, and styled. It’s not just about looking good; it’s about feeling that extra confidence, that sense of self-care that sets the tone for the day. When you’re put together, your mood follows! I’m a Rimowa fan and love the Essential Sleeve Cabin.

You have a pretty big footwear collection. How many shoes would you say you own?
Oh, mamma mia… I’d say around 60 pairs—at least! Shoes are just too beautiful; they completely transform an outfit, elevate the whole vibe! I swear, I sound just like my fashionista aunt… but hey, she’s not wrong! A killer pair of shoes is pure magic. You’ll find lots of Gucci, Dior, Fendi, and Christian Louboutin in my closet.

What are the few pairs of sneakers in your rotation right now?
Right now, my Hermes Bouncing sneakers and Fendi Flow are on heavy rotation—honestly, they’re insanely comfortable! I’m on my feet all day, and with these, I don’t feel a thing. I’m not a big sports sneaker guy… strictly for the gym! Fashion and function need to go together, always.

Favorite swimwear?
Oh, interesting, I actually never thought about my favorite swimwear but I really only use speedos!

What do you like when it comes to suits or more formalwear?
Oh, nothing beats Italian tailoring—nothing! The craftsmanship, the fit, the fabrics… it’s just on another level. I love when a formal suit has that modern edge—sleek, elegant, but with a little twist. I can’t be bougie all the time, but slipping into a beautifully tailored Hermès or Brunello Cucinelli suit? That is a moment. And fabrics—mamma mia—I learned young that they change everything. The right fabric doesn’t just sit on you; it moves with you, breathes with you. That’s the real magic!

How does your Italian heritage come through in your fashion choices?
Oh, my Aunty Rina—she was always deep in the world of tailoring, crafting the most incredible pieces for my mum with fabrics that were just out of this world. And, of course, my mum, inspired by that, made sure I was always dressed adorably—well, in her opinion, at least! But you know what? I think that passion for craftsmanship, for beautiful fabrics, for the art of dressing—it all trickled down to me. These two powerhouse women shaped my eye, my taste, my love for quality and detail. Fashion isn’t just about clothes; it’s a story, a legacy, an expression of who we are.

Let’s talk jewelry…
Oh, I love jewelry—it’s pure art! The shapes, the way light dances off the stones, the tiny intricate details that turn an object into something extraordinary. It’s craftsmanship at its finest, a true expression of creativity. And sometimes, when I’m in that deep creative headspace, I just lose myself staring at how certain stones reflect light—it’s almost hypnotic, like going on a little trip! Jewelry isn’t just an accessory; it’s energy, it’s emotion, it’s storytelling in the most brilliant way.

Any recent jewelry or watch splurges?
The new square trinity ring and necklace from cartier. Such a sensual shape! I’ve also had my eye on Tiffany’s Lock bracelet.

What are your Spring travel plans?
I just got back from a great week in Saint Barths. My next stop is Goop in San Francisco, then Italy, then I’ll be bouncing around South Florida—Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach—and then back to the Hamptons.

And, as a skincare guru, what are a few items that are always in your dopp kit or toiletry kit?
Oh, my dopp kit is sacred—non-negotiable essentials only! My Pietro Simone exosomes cream and serum are always in there—because skin longevity is everything. Then, of course, Sunforgettable SPF 50 from Colorscience, and a travel size of my Ozonized cleanser. I also carry my line’s Skin Alert balm because you never know when your skin needs a little extra love. Skincare isn’t just a routine—it’s a ritual, a lifestyle, and even a form of self-respect! I also travel with two fragrances, Fleur Narcotique by Ex Nihilo and Narcisse Taiji by Atelier Materi—but I have a collection of 600!
