Food culture has never been bigger, and we’re giving you the inside scoop on our most popular dishes as picked by four of Miami’s favorite food influencers. Our #BHSLovetoEat series welcomed Sami Schnur (@thenaughtyfork), Nico Norena (@succulentbite), Dana Rozansky (@miami_foodporn) and Gio Gutierrez (@chatchowtv) to showcase the dishes they look forward to most when dining at Bal Harbour Shops!
Whether she’s shopping at her favorite Bal Harbour Shops boutique or enjoying a meal at one of our restaurants, Sami Schnur of The Naughty Fork, one of the industry’s most influential food blogs, shares her favorite dish from Carpaccio Bal Harbour along with her fondest Bal Harbour Shops memories. “My favorite Bal Harbour Shops memory is shopping with my family during the holidays and working up an appetite to eat pizza and pasta at Carpaccio.”
Sami (@thenaughtyfork) goes behind-the-scenes on the making of one of her favorite dishes at Makoto Bal Harbour, the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice.
We joined Sami to go behind-the-scenes on the making of Makoto’s iconic Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. From preparation to plating, it’s the one dish that needs no explanation!
With a story in every bite, Nico Norena of The Succulent Bite, showcases unforgettable foodie moments with us, starting with Makoto Bal Harbour’s Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice—because we can never have too much crispy rice. It’s the perfect dish for every special occasion.
Nico (@succulentbite) shares the dessert he looks forward to most at Le Zoo Bal Harbour.
Ready for the perfectly decadent bite, we joined Nico at Le Zoo Bal Harbour as he enjoyed every spoonful of the Vanilla Ice Cream Profiteroles! After a perfect day of dining, Nico shared that “Bal Harbour Shops is a super special place to me…I’ve had Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthday parties here, and its honestly a place where I come and it’s always a beautiful time with awesome memories.”
Approaching food culture with a sense of humor and personality, Dana Rozansky, the city’s go-to food ‘grammer and founder of the famed Miami Food Porn, dares us to turn on our taste buds. “Hillstone Bal Harbour is one of the most consistent experiences you can have in this city—from the food, to the service, to the ambiance. There’s nothing better than diving into a warm, cheesy spinach dip as I wait for my burger and fries…because we all need a little fuel before a big day of shopping, don’t we?!”
Next stop on Dana’s #BHSLovetoEat tour was Le Zoo Bal Harbour. She ordered an all-time fan-favorite: The Seafood Platter. Topped with lobster, shrimp, oysters and clams, it’s one of the dishes she looks forward to most when dining with us.
Gio Gutierrez of Chat Chow TV, a mouth-watering video podcast that goes behind the scenes with celebrated chefs, owners and mixologists, takes us on his #BHSLovetoEat experience. Mr. Chat Chow himself picked one of his favorites, Carpaccio Bal Harbour’s Veal Milanese paired with an expertly made Negroni.
Looking to continue his #BHSLovetoEat journey, Gio sipped on a few Makoto specialty cocktails: Passion Pisco, Aperol Spritz, Piña Margarita and Thai Mojito. After taking a moment of appreciation, Gio revealed that his favorite Bal Harbour Shops memory was when “Chef Makoto himself asked me five years ago to film him making an eel dish from scratch, we’re talking live eel—it was something I’ll never forget.”
