Assouline, the French publishing house known for its covetable tomes celebrating all things luxury, has debuted a brand-new boutique at Bal Harbour Shops. The new space is the blueprint for Assouline’s new store concept, whose highlights include a cabinet de curiosités, and a salon for the Ultimate Collection. A first for the brand, the boutique also features a dedicated area for home fragrances, creating an immersive sensory experience that complements the brand’s renowned book collections, and exemplifies Assouline’s transition to a luxury lifestyle brand.

True to Assouline’s identity, every element of the boutique is meticulously crafted, using signature materials synonymous with the brand, such as rich wood with a walnut finish, vibrant red accents in Assouline’s trademark color, and gleaming brass. Custom fixtures and thoughtfully designed lit shelving enhance the browsing experience and highlight every Assouline collection. Black and white marble floors, inspired by the pattern of the iconic Palace of Versailles, pay homage to Assouline’s French heritage and provide the space with an air of timeless elegance. To celebrate the new boutique, we asked Alexandre Assouline, Chief of Operations, Brand and Strategy, to share his all-time favorite Assouline titles.
