For Art Basel, Bal Harbour Shops tapped virtuosic landscape artist Lily Kwong to create a one-of-a-kind ephemeral installation for our greenway. The resulting work titled Moongates, which debuted in December and lasted through the holiday season, brought a concert of orchid arches to our plaza. Composed of thousands of multicolored blooms, Moongates offered bountiful opportunities for guests to reconnect with nature. Spreading the message with each Instagram post, we watched the rechristen of Kwong’s green installation grow outside of the bounds of our space.
