After months of speculation, Matthieu Blazy was officially announced as Chanel’s new Creative Director. The 40-year-old Blazy has spent the last three years at Bottega Veneta where he was responsible for everything from craft-driven leather ensembles to this season’s coveted oversized bags. He previously held positions at Céline under Pheobe Philo and at Margiela. Replacing him at the Italian house is Louise Trotter, who will leave her role as Creative Director at Carven.
