Swim looks from Monnalisa, available now at Bal Harbour Shops.

Is there any feeling as freeing as the last day of school? As much as we love our teachers, a good summer break cannot be beat! We’ve pulled together a few looks to build out the ultimate warm-weather wardrobe for your littles, from accessories to swimwear. And, to help battle screen time, we’ve included a few new books that will surely spark the imagination.

  1. Straw summer hat with black tie

    Bonpoint

School may be out, but a lesson in sun protection is a must for the summer. Luckily, Bonpoint has made that a most stylish lesson indeed with its woven raffia hat.
  2. Blue kaleidoscope patten swim shorts with navy waist tie

    Vilebrequin

Now this is going to keep them busy for a while. Cleverly hidden within this Ikat patterned Jim Medusa shorts is a school of jellyfish. Get dad a matching pair, too, and it’s full-on family fun.
  3. Open image of Our Seasons: The World in Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn that shows the front and back book cover

    Books & Books

If you’re a multitasker, this book’s for you. “Our Seasons: The World in Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn” (Phaidon) is a beautifully illustrated board book—which also doubles as a sculpture that your child can admire all year long.
  4. White espadrilles with blue back buckle and embroidered sunflower and strawberries

    Stella McCartney

What says summer better than espadrilles? How about an adorable pint-sized pair embroidered with strawberries and a sunflower?
  5. White boys pants

    Brunello Cucinelli

There are Summer whites and then there are these. You can practically hear the giggles that will be had while adventuring around the beach in these gabardine A-line trousers.
  6. monnalisa-boys-sneaker

    Monnalisa

If you’ve already Pinned your Fourth of July mood board, we hope you included these star-print sneakers from Monnalisa. Give your kiddo a little independence of their own with one easy Velcro strap to get in and out of these adorable kicks.
  7. front cover of book of dinosaurs children's book

    Books & Books

Be the coolest parent on the block and pre-order the must-have dinosaur book of the season, “Book of Dinosaurs: 10 Record-Breaking Prehistoric Animals.” The only caveat is that you’ll have to keep pace with the “did you know” facts.
  8. White sneakers with gold star detailing

    Golden Goose

If you can get your hands on these, you’ve already won. The iconic Super-Star sneakers are even more desirable in a mini version—especially when covered in glitter.
  9. Multi-colored stripped dress with tied shoulder straps

    Zimmermann

If your daughter likes to twirl, this is the dress she’s been waiting for. The Pattie shirred tiered dress is layers of fun, and if you’re feeling the big/littles vibe, there are coordinating womenswear looks, too.
  10. Tan nylon tote bag

    Brunello Cucinelli

A backpack is practical, and with the message “Be Your Change,” it’s essential. Inspire your children with this message of courage, trust and hope—and give them a fun, waterproof bag to tote around all summer.

Gucci enters its next era. As the Italian house first established in 1921 has had its shuffle of talent in recent years, they’ve just appointed Demna as creative director. The 43-year-old spent the last ten years at Balenciaga and is also responsible for co-founding cult-favorite label Vetements in 2014. In a press release from Gucci and its parent company Kering, the brand states that Demna “has redefined modern luxury, earning global recognition and cementing his authority on the industry.”
