Who’s ready for a long weekend? We sure are, and what better way to kick it off properly than with a fresh cocktail? You’ve been working hard, and now it’s time to reward yourself this Labor Day weekend with a little R&R—that’s refresh and reboot—courtesy of Makoto.
It’s hard to play favorites when it comes to the beverage menu at Makoto, so we asked an expert to share one of the restaurant’s signature drinks that’s held its own for the last decade—the Piña Margarita!
“A pineapple is a sign of rest and relaxation for most people visiting or living in Miami,” explains manager Michael Mauro. “Makoto has taken this simple item and engraved it as a staple at Bal Harbour Shops. Grilling the pineapple before infusing it with tequila adds different layers of complexity to this cocktail. Combined with a Korean chili rim, this cocktail leaves a person with the sensations of sweet, smoke and spice after each refreshing and delicious sip.”
