This week, Bal Harbour Shops introduced an exciting new venture: the Bal Harbour Shops Access Pop-Up, which made its debut in Raleigh, North Carolina. This nomadic luxury retail activation was designed by the award-winning architecture firm LOT-EK to bring the soul of Bal Harbour Shops to new destinations around the country.

Spanning 17,000 square feet, the Access Pop-Up features a curated collection of elegant shops and luxury boutiques that Bal Harbour Shops is famous for including Tiffany & Co., Balmain, James Perse, Scanlan Theodore, Frette, Assouline, Addict, Bonpoint, and Santa Maria Novella. It’s also home to The Whitman–an all-new restaurant concept specially designed for the Bal Harbour Shops Access Pop-up, and named for the Shops’ visionary founder, Stanley Whitman. The Whitman brings the iconic dining experience of Bal Harbour Shops to life through its indoor-outdoor space whose palm-framed courtyard retains the idyllic charm and iconic al fresco environment of the Shops.

“We’re excited about bringing our signature “tropical” luxury shopping and dining experience outside of Bal Harbour for the first time in our nearly 60-year history,” said Matthew Whitman Lazenby, President and Chief Executive Officer of Whitman Family Development.

The Access Pop-Up replicates the indoor-outdoor shopping experience found at Bal Harbour Shops

Built from thirty custom-built shipping containers, the branded pop-up features covered walkways with fans, a retractable canopy and references Bal Harbour Shops’ palm tree motif and garden-like bright green monstera leaf signature design. Koi ponds, fountains, and planters filled with lush greenery brings the entire tropical, Zen-like atmosphere of Bal Harbour Shops to life.

Following its residency in Raleigh, which is open now through January 14, 2024, the Bal Harbour Shops Access Pop-Up will head to Tequesta and South Walton County, Florida followed by Greenville, South Carolina. For more details on the Bal Harbour Shops Access Pop-up visit balharbourshopspopup.com
