As the chairman of Phillips de Pury & Company, he conducts some of the most important art sales in the world. A charming and engaging auctioneer, he has become famous for his ability to set record prices for contemporary artists, even during a recession. Recently scooped up to be the official mentor on Bravo TV’s “Work of Art” season two, Simon de Pury may soon be a household name. The father of five, who shuttles between the demands of his New York and London offices, cites Gianni Agnelli as “the most stylish and best looking man I ever met.” Preferring timeless classics over trends, he manages to stay relevant with modern accessories.

Pury’s theory on personal health revolves around a proper nights rest. “I have never done any exercise. I prefer to make sure I get enough sleep.” And what better way to do so than in Pratesi Black 900 sheets?

Weary of trends, Pury is a strong believer in the value of investment pieces.  “The current Celine bag collection is super chic. I would like to buy my wife every color combination.”

When it comes to personal style, Pury simply states “Be yourself and wear what makes you comfortable.” For Pury, that means a sophisticated and timeless suit. And no suit is complete without a streamlined oxford shirt. “These Turnbull & Adder shirts are part of my work uniform.”

Away from the auction house, Pury lightens up with classic separates like this Brunello Cucinelli V neck sweater. He notes, “Cashmere sweaters are perfect for layering on the weekends.”

Pury looks for subtle details to compliment his immaculate style. Admiring Kiton’s calf leather shoes, he says, “The perforation on this shoe is elegant and unusual.”
