Fashion houses have taken to jewelry production en masse over the last few years. It seems a natural progression for these luxury brands to be expanded their reach into jewelry—particularly for those who have a foothold in the booming accessories market. And with lifestyle extensions growing all the more popular, why not jewelry too?

Bottega Veneta launched its jewelry line in 2006 and has expanded the range each year since then. A clear relationship between the ready to wear and jewelry collections this fall could be seen on the runway wear models were adorned in the bold statement pieces designed by Bottega Veneta’s creative director Tomas Maier.

The jewelry collection shines against the fall looks. In particular, one curvy day shift was transformed into an evening-ready look with the addition of a few artfully applied brooches. And an otherwise sporty sweater got the glam treatment with a statement necklace in highly polished sterling silver.
Overall, the collection of cuffs, brooches and necklaces with handmade elements, complex design and intricate craftsmanship features rock crystal, agate and pale semi-precious stones.

One of our favorite necklaces is composed of a precious chain and a large pendant in all silver. While the front of the pendant—made by soldering together silver elements in different shapes with a hand-hammered surface—is a graphic, three-dimensional form, the back has a little secret style as well. Flip the necklace over and you’ll find an engraving of Bottega Veneta’s iconic mini ponza pattern.

For a little arm candy, this cuff is set with pyramid-cut rock crystal stones alternated with silver. The effect of the transparent and opaque surfaces playing off one another is super chic. And, just like the pendant necklace, the inside of the cuff is engraved with the same mini ponza pattern.
