Ever look over at the person in front of you at the airport terminal and think how put together they appear? You’re stylish as ever, of course, but there’s a certain travel look that is almost inimitable in its precision and flawlessness—until now.

This month Gucci introduces the new Viaggio line, a relaxed yet ultra-chic capsule collection designed by Frida Giannini to meet the modern globetrotters’ desire for highly versatile items. The jet-set essence that originally brought fame to the House now meets innovation for traveling in the utmost comfort and style.

The line—designed as a year-round capsule collection—includes an extensive selection of ready-to-wear garments and accessories, for both women and men, under the new Gucci Viaggio label and a focused color palette of black, ink and grey.

The travel theme suggests a lifestyle-driven total look, ranging from outerwear and sportswear to knitwear and leather pieces as well as shoes, luggage and bags, silk accessories and gifts. Materials are extremely soft and natural thanks to their advanced treatments and unique finishing: wrinkle-free waterproof wool, light stretch cotton or matt nylon, cotton twill and genuine leather are all interpreted through the Gucci aesthetic.

The new travel wardrobe also features a distinctive array of accessory staples, which reflect the philosophy of understated luxury and utmost craftsmanship for which Gucci is known. Shoes are soft and flexible, including the driver and high top sneaker for both women and men, as well as the ballerina for her, all declined in black for an easier combination. Soft luggage pieces—spanning from the suite bag, duffle, tote and backpack to the shirt case, shoe case and travel pouches—are offered in GG nylon, while the tote and backpack have also been designed in calfskin.
